To provide the latest version of Mono, and to be able to add our own patches, I have now started a small project at Github, that helps maintain the package files, and documentation how to build the packages:

At the moment I have added packages for CentOS 5, 32 bit; CentOS 6, 64 bit; Ubuntu 12.04 64 bit and Debian 6.0 32 and 64 bit.
I also added the page on the wiki for the development environment using CentOS 6:

I needed to have a version running on Linux last week, when Mono gave trouble with the merging of datasets. So now it is available to everyone.
