Hi all,
my name is Dietmar Hoppe-Jagonak. I live in Germany within the region called Eifel, a beautiful place much like "in the middle of nowhere"...
I'm involved in software development since nearly 30+ years now. And I'm working self-employed since 1991, mostly doing freelancing jobs on some longterm projects.
I've been going with Delphi since version 1 through D6 up to XE4 at last, there being no actual reason forcing me to buy a more recent Delphi. In fact, this summer I happened to start helping out someone lifting his medical business application from D1 up to D7, not kidding :worried:.
Well, and about 7 years ago I started exploring the .NET software world, doing ASP.NET as well as WinForms and WPF, thereby favouring C# over VB. My focus has predominantly been on the technical parts of development. I like dealing with databases and have been sorting out with cryptographic algorithms.
Last December a young woman from our small church community was called to working for the Lord and made the move to OM in Mosbach where she's now serving as media designer. Due to being in her backing team this fall my attention was drawn to OM seeking people who are going to further software development of OpenPetra. In my heart it felt like Jesus was nudging me to spend part of my working time thusly on His work.
So now, I've already been to a meeting in Mosbach and I made contact with Timotheus. It seems like I'm going to work on OpenPetra on voluntary base. I still will need someone to direct me to some of the more urgent "road works" as this already is quite a mature project. But hopefully I can be of some help with taking this one or more steps further to "RTM"...:+1:
