On popular request, and the fact that I was not happy with the notification emails from watched forums in phpBB, that don't list the content of the post, here is the solution:
I have created a mailing list lists.sourceforge.net/lists/lis ... umnotifier that sends out an email if there has been a new post on the forum, and it contains the post in HTML.
I have subscribed a few people already, so if you get this post as an email, you are subscribed already ;)
I think it is important that we can post general announcements on the forum, so that everybody can read it. That way everyone knows if something in the build process changed, and we don't need to communicate on several channels (email, forum etc.).
So informal discussion happens on the IRC (#OpenPetra at irc.freenode.net), which is not logged.
Official discussions and decisions must be posted on the forum, and decisions/instructions on the wiki as well.
